GeoCamp Iceland organized a recpetion in Washington DC in cooperation with the Icelandic embassy. The event took place in December 2018 and included speeches from our friends at NCGE - National Council for Geographic Education, Yale University and the American Geoscience Institute, as well as from Mr. Geir H. Haarde, the Icelandic ambassador to the United States. The recpetion took place at the Icelandic Ambassador’s residence and icluded guests from various universities, research institutes and organizations interested in field trips to Iceland. We thank Ambassador Haarde and our guests for a wonderful evening.
